  1. Having a really tough time b/c the majority of my family…sisters, nieces, brother-in-laws…voted for Trump which in my view was a vote against me. We’re a very close family but this has driven a wedge between us or at least has resulted in my loss of respect for them. Not sure where to go from here. Don’t want to lose my family ties, but so very disappointed in their redneck, uninformed vote.

    • Dear Debra,
We have been hearing so many of these stories since Tuesday night and they have been heartbreaking. We can’t imagine what you must feel like, but please know that you are not alone and, though it is not the same, this is a family, too, and we are here for one another to get through this tough time and fight off the forces that are trying to take us back in time to a darker period. We will be thinking of you and are here for you.

  2. My thoughts are with you. I felt exactly the same when brexit happened in the UK and i felt sick when it was confirmed that Trump was president. We live in scary times and i commend you both for having a voice and continuing to protest about what is right for your country. I’m still trying to wrap my head around what is happening politically in this world and how people are leaning towards the far right. Why do we not learn from history about where this gets us? I found great comfort in your vlog and as gay women we have to stand up to the misogyny and hatred that’s out there. I live in hope that someday people will wake up and realise that hate breeds hate and gets us nowhere. Thank you. From a very sad UK fan

    • Thank you so much for your kind words, Rebecca. What is happening in the world right now is very scary and disheartening. This is all the more reason for all of us to stand strong and fight for our values. We are stronger together! 🙏
